Hello All - Here are the items discussed during the 1G board meeting on 6/17 and COL quarterly meeting for Castlehills on 6/25. Firstly, would like to congratulate Joel Watson for becoming a boarding member for 1G district. High level MOM : 1G Board Meeting Approved revised Homestead exemptions Continued to have 20% exemption for all residents Introduced $20,000 exemption for disabled individuals as a residential homestead Introduced $60,000 exemption for an individual who is 65 years or older as a residential homestead Digital Speed limit board is up by the Highwood entrance. Hello All - Here is the MOM with City Manager meeting occurred in the last week. Discussed about What City is planning to do and how they operate. City is very firm on getting the Annexation competed by Jul 2021. Castle Hills - A jewel in the market, after annexation it will still be jewel in Lewisville. Benefits of Annexation City Dashboard - https://metrics.Cityoflewisville.com - Various analytical reports can be found here (including Police patrol, response times, Library issues, Water billing issues, IT issues,……. Etc) Enhanced Patrolling - COL is adding addl. 10 officers in the current year and will keep adding more in the next couple years to facilitate the incoming need from future annexed area (Castlehills).  Currently we are paying additionally to have 12-14 hours of Patrolling our areas but this will become 24 hours on a typical patrolling done by...

Hello All, Here is the MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 3/20. MOM: Discussed on all the improvements happening in the community Trees  had been installed by the North of the community to cover the open area between (112 Wiltshire and 200 Wiltshire) and also the fence area so it won't be wide open anymore. 4 Swing set  - Planning has already been started and stakes have been pinned down in the ground to identify the area. In 2-3 week time, we should be seeing the swings installed along with the rubber mulch. New  digital speed limit sign  will be installed on Windhaven Pkwy by the Winehart St entrance. This is to slow down the traffic at that area as this is very dangerous hidden curve and currently having an impact to the drivers who is going out. Meeting with City of Lewisville Police Chief Kevin Deaver - 3/4

All - Here is the MOM from the meeting with Police Chief Kevin Deaver.    Somehow managed to relax time at work and able to meet City of Lewisville Police Chief Kevin Deaver on  the Monday 3/4 along with other 3 board members from other boards. Interesting facts shared with us and also gave so much confidence in getting this patrol service (On duty officers) from COL as we had an impression that COL is charging double rate comparatively the Castle Hills Patrol (Off duty officers) managed by Water district. We (Castle hills) now have a * dedicated * on-duty police patrol officers in the community for 16 hours . This doesn't mean that rest of the hours in a day uncovered, but regular on-duty officers would still be covering the area, this is not part of the SPA though. Hello All, Here is the MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 1/16. MOM : CHNE Swing set by Playground - We have discussed again about this having 4 set swing set by the playground. We have also approved to have the rubber mulch around the set. Trees between the 112 Wiltshire Blvd and 200 Wiltshire Blvd - The trees will be installed by the fence so it will obscure the visibility towards the commercials. Over the period, district wanted to do the better improvements here. General Current target for the Annexation is 2021. Police Patrolling There are good things happening on patrolling from the City of Lewisville (COL). - This is a good step towards the annexation in to City of Lewisville. COL is having enough staff and would like to extend the services to Castle hills. Hence the COL patrolling will likely start from Feb 1st. Current contract with the OFF duty officers (Castlehills...

Hello All, Here is the MOM from the  1G  water district meeting on  6/20 . MOM (as a resident) : The 1G Board approved the homestead exemption to 20% (comparatively 12% rise from last year [8%]), which would additionally benefit the homeowner on an average of $540 (with assumption of the home value is $450,000). YAYYYYYYYY . Last month it was approved to 10%. This approved exemption details will be sent to CAD in the first week of July. The 1F Board already approved the homestead exemption to 20% in the last month. As mentioned in the last month MOM, tax rate discussions are yet to happen. Before finalizing the rate, there will be a public hearing session ( Aug ) to receive any concerns/feedback from the residents and then Board will move forward with the tax rate finalization. Hello All, Here is the MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 5/16. MOM (as a resident) : After the elections, New Board members (Scott Stauffer, Steve Jewell & Gangadhar Kotu) are joined the Board Positions. Water District would be sending the finalized tax rates and homestead exemptions by the end of July to CAD, so they can issue the FINAL statements in the month of Oct. Discussed the Homestead exemption options and approved 10% exemption this year. Per State Law, cities would be able to provide up to 20% homestead exemption. However the tax rate discussions are to be done in the next couple months, target is to at least reduce couple cents (just a speculation at this moment, actuals yet to come). Hello All, Here is the MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 2/28. MOM : The motion has been passed to cancel the 1G Elections as enough applicants are fulfilling the positions. Lewisville City is planning for a Fire Station west side of Josey and south of Windhaven  -> As the population is being grown rapidly, new Fire Station would serve the public within and around the Castle hills. New apartment complex is being planned besides Kroger complex. From this to FM 544, there will be a lane laid down near future (count in 2 years), however this  depends on the demand. Over the period, there will be single home community besides the pet cemetery on FM 544 and couple apartment complexes. Another apartment complex by Windhaven and Castle Hills Dr. This complex first floor will be retail and 2nd, 3rd will be residential apartment, something like Austin square style. MOM: Denton County - Water District 1F/1G meetings - 01/17/18

Hello All, Here is the MOM for the 1G meeting occurred today. Applicants can start submitting the Ballot applications from today onwards ( http://www.dentoncountyfwsd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Candidate-Application-Form-for-General-Election-May-2018-4814-6017-5705-2.pdf ). New Policy has been created for requesting any repairs to the Trash bins (lid/wheels), at the cost of $25 as the Trash bins are owned by Homeowner. However, the recycle bins are owned by CWD. The motion for the Sharing Agreement with 1F has been passed. This would allow the District to engage the contractor to work on the Shaded Area for our play area in the park. Water District has already received the Bid and the contract will be issued this week. The ground work would be starting in about 2 weeks . Target of completion is by mid Spring .
