MOM from 1G Board Meeting on 6/17 and COL quarterly meeting on 6/25

Hello All - Here are the items discussed during the 1G board meeting on 6/17 and COL quarterly meeting for Castlehills on 6/25. Firstly, would like to congratulate Joel Watson for becoming a boarding member for 1G district. High level MOM : 1G Board Meeting Approved revised Homestead exemptions Continued to have 20% exemption for all residents Introduced $20,000 exemption for disabled individuals as a residential homestead Introduced $60,000 exemption for an individual who is 65 years or older as a residential homestead Digital Speed limit board is up by the Highwood entrance. This has been installed on the street light pole rather than a separate pole. City Of Lewisville Quarterly Meeting for Castlehills ' No U Turn ' sign on eastbound Windhaven Pkwy at the median opening near CubeSmart/Life Storage building. MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 4/17

Hello All, Here is the MOM from the 1G water  district  meeting on 4/17. MOM : Digital sign on Windhaven Pkwy nearby Winehart St entrance. With this sign, there seems to be slow down on traffic. Currently ALDI is charging the sales tax at 8.25 %, which is legally not correct as CH shops should only charge 7.625% as per the last year elections. Raised this issue with City of Lewisville and then to Texas Comptroller office, they are looking into  this and will notify ALDI on reducing this to 7.625 %. ALL the shops within Water district should be charging the sales tax of 7.625% only. Should you find anything different in the shops around us, PM me with the details. Volleyball and Basket ball courts for CHNE

Hello All, Please see below response from HOA on the sports court (either Volleyball or Basket ball) in CHNE.  The community definitely needs at least one sports court so our younger kids will be able to play some sports, and having a one within the community helps. ********************* If you strongly believe this, need support from everyone in the community. If you could send an email (one resident in each day) to HOA ( Retta.Rosi@brightrealtyco.com ) asking for the sports improvements in the community and let's see how HOA comes back with their response. Hello All, Finally was able to compile the MOM from the Board meeting and some additional follow-ups. Item Discussion during the Resident Meet Contact Team MOM /Comments from Board Meeting 5/17/17 Street Lights We have requested to have 6 street lights installed but Per Water district, the 4 street lights were approved. NEIGHBORHOOD STATUS UPDATE 12/13/16

Hello All, I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful and happy holiday season. We have some further updates regarding changes within our neighborhood that I thought I would pass along. 1.  Intersection Signage along Windhaven and Winehart -     As many of you have noticed, intersection signage has been added on the approaches on Windhaven to the intersection at Winehart street. Although we are  appreciative to the water district for erecting this signage, we do not feel that it is adequate in its own right to alleviate the danger at this intersection. More explicit  signage, a better marked entrance and the addition of a street light at this intersection in the median of Windhaven is truly needed. Neighbors: We have learned much over these past few weeks regarding the various requests and concerns within our neighborhood.  Below, I will detail what we know and our planned course of action on each issue.
