MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 1/16

Hello All,

Here is the MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 1/16.

MOM:

1. CHNE
1. Swing set by Playground - We have discussed again about this having 4 set swing set by the playground. We have also approved to have the rubber mulch around the set.
2. Trees between the 112 Wiltshire Blvd and 200 Wiltshire Blvd - The trees will be installed by the fence so it will obscure the visibility towards the commercials. Over the period, district wanted to do the better improvements here.
2. General
1. Current target for the Annexation is 2021.
2. Police Patrolling
1. There are good things happening on patrolling from the City of Lewisville (COL). - This is a good step towards the annexation in to City of Lewisville.
2. COL is having enough staff and would like to extend the services to Castle hills. Hence the COL patrolling will likely start from Feb 1st. Current contract with the OFF duty officers (Castlehills Patrol) is getting closed by 2/28.
3. What it means?
1. As this patrolling will be done by the on duty Police Officers, Officers will issue citations, handcuff, arrest,…etc.
2. So expect to see the  COL Police officer vehicles patrolled in the neighborhood.
3. There is so much analysis done on what timings the most patrolling needed.
4. The expenses for the ON duty officers are being covered from Sales Tax. - This is REALLY good thing that property tax dollars are not used for this.
5. Moreover COL wants to establish Crime Prevention District as well (in addition to the Fire District).
3. Digitalized Speed limit post will be installed on Windhaven Pwky near Winehart St entrance area, so this would at least slow down the traffic to the speed limit level.
