MOM: 2017 Annual HOA Meeting - On Sep11 at 2 PM
Good Evening Everyone,
Last email from me tonight, I promise! We wanted to share an update on the HOA meeting yesterday.
- Board of Directors - Chris Bright was approved for another 3-year term. For those that don't know who the Board of Directors for our HOA consists of, it's the Bright brothers and one other person, so residents don't truly have voting power or say in anything the HOA does.
- New Development with roughly 314 lots will start construction next month. He mentioned they would be similar to CHNE.
- The condos in the Village Shops are almost complete, 16 of the 18 are under contract.
- Windhaven still scheduled to fully open up by CHN in 2021
- Vector Security - It was mentioned that the contract for all of Castle Hills will expire 20 years after the last resident construction site completed. There was a discussion on the definition changing since it was never the intent for this many CH residential areas to exist back when the contract was first negotiated. The HOA said they would look into this further.
- Cameras - They confirmed that the HOA monitors this. If there is ever an incident that we would like to review footage for we need to reach out to the HOA with the date and time and they would review and provide this footage.
- Attached is a copy of the HOA Financials that were released yesterday. If anyone with an Accounting background wants to review the financials that would be greatly appreciated. :)
- CHNE Concerns:
- Volleyball Court by the pool: HOA said they would review and look at the location and see if this is something they can do.
- Swings in the play area: It was mentioned that playground manufacturers are moving away from swings due to the liability but that they would look into potentially adding them to our playground.
- Community Center for Community Meetings and events: They stated that a fee has to be charged for cleaning and maintenance of the center and can't be waived for our community center since that would then be expected for other neighborhoods as well.
Thanks!
