Denton County Water District - 1F/1G meetings - 6/21

All -  We have the Water District meetings next week for 1F and 1G. Please let me know if anybody wishes to join the district meetings to discuss the items/issues we have.

All, 

Today Kyle Johnson and I attended the 1G meeting and it was completed in 15-20 mins. I couldn't stay further to 1F meeting as I got meetings at my work.

Below are the points discussed from our end:

Tax
Tax rate differences
Board mentioned that there will be a public hearing session in August & September to discuss about the Tax rate discussion and finalize by end of September and present it to the CAD for final statements.

Tax
Homestead Exemption
This has been approved from Board now hence will be presented to CAD for corrections.

Maintenance
Green area maintenance
Mr. Phil was on Vacation, hence Board noted the point and inquire internally. Especially spoke about the water leakage nearby 936 Warwick.

Maintenance
Fire Hydrants - "Do not park" Coloring red
Board noted the points and will discuss internally.

 General
Minutes of meeting are not published for April and May'17. When do we get them published?
May'17 MOM will be published once it is signed by Board members.

General
Street light was dim at Highwood and Del Molin Ave intersection compared to other street lights.
Board will look in to this.

Tax
Homestead Exemption
Board has approved the increase of the homestead exemption to 10% (earlier it was 8%). This should be presented to CAD for tax corrections.
