2018 Castlehills Property Tax Rates from Water District

Hello All, Finally wanted to share the various tax rates and exemptions with in the Castlehills, to be intact within our Water Districts. These rates had been approved by appropriate boards and would start appearing on CAD site in couple of weeks. We would also receive the tax statements before end of Oct. Below will help you visualize how the property tax statements will be. I must admit that 1F did very well in lowering the rates very low and you must be seeing the reduction in taxes anywhere between $1000 to $1800 when you compare from last year. 1F residents - Many of you see your statements would have gone to less than $10k (of course depends on your property value), which you must appreciate the efforts of your board members. City of Lewisville Tax Rate: 0.436086% City of Carrollton Tax Rate: 0.5997% Thank you. Best Regards Gangadhar Kotu

Water District - Homestead Exemptions applied on Properties

Hello All, Now that we are in to July, Denton CAD had applied the homestead exemptions (approved by Water district boards (1F/1G)) in the last month, and you should be able to see how much reduction of Property tax occurred. Up coming months, Boards will be assessing, analyzing and approving the tax rates which would further reduce the property taxes. Will keep you posted with necessary updates. Volleyball and Basket ball courts for CHNE

Hello All, Please see below response from HOA on the sports court (either Volleyball or Basket ball) in CHNE.  The community definitely needs at least one sports court so our younger kids will be able to play some sports, and having a one within the community helps. ********************* If you strongly believe this, need support from everyone in the community. If you could send an email (one resident in each day) to HOA ( Retta.Rosi@brightrealtyco.com ) asking for the sports improvements in the community and let's see how HOA comes back with their response. MOM from the 1G water district meeting on 6/20

Hello All, Here is the MOM from the  1G  water district meeting on  6/20 . MOM (as a resident) : The 1G Board approved the homestead exemption to 20% (comparatively 12% rise from last year [8%]), which would additionally benefit the homeowner on an average of $540 (with assumption of the home value is $450,000). YAYYYYYYYY . Last month it was approved to 10%. This approved exemption details will be sent to CAD in the first week of July. The 1F Board already approved the homestead exemption to 20% in the last month. As mentioned in the last month MOM, tax rate discussions are yet to happen. Before finalizing the rate, there will be a public hearing session ( Aug ) to receive any concerns/feedback from the residents and then Board will move forward with the tax rate finalization.
